ABOUT MATTHEW

Matthew is a Toronto based Camera and Steadicam Operator. Throughout his film degree at Ryerson University he concentrated his energy towards Cinematography and Operating. After school, Matthew joined the Nabet 700 Lighting department and, shortly thereafter, the Camera department as an Assistant in IATSE 667 to learn lighting and camera from Toronto's most professional and talented technicians in long-format productions. In 2022 Matthew attended the SOA Steadicam workshop in PA, USA which ultimately inspired his long term career path. Outside of union productions, Matthew has shot and operated on hundreds of indie films, music videos and corporates.

Currently Matthew is focused on long-format and commercial productions as a Camera and Steadicam Operator. Steadicam is a passion of his and he's obsessed with tuning the craft. Although based in Toronto, Matthew is willing to travel and has dual citizenship with the EU.
